The PTO Executive Board meets monthly during the school year and twice during the summer. Each board member also helps oversee and support PTO committees. Many board positions include an Elect role, which allows volunteers to learn alongside current leaders before stepping into the position the following school year. What They Do: Support the PTO President, attend board meetings, and learn the ins and outs of PTO leadership before serving as President the following school year. Best For: Parents who enjoy leadership, collaboration, and helping guide the future of Edmondson. What They Do: Oversee Edmondson's fundraising efforts, including Invest in EES, the Book Fair, Merchandise, Spirit Events, and the Online Auction. Best For: Parents who enjoy organizing projects, building relationships, and helping turn ideas into impact. What They Do: Work alongside the VP of Fundraising and help support some of the PTO's biggest programs while learning the role. Best For: Parents who want to learn from experienced volunteers before stepping into a leadership position. What They Do: Support and oversee many of Edmondson's favorite traditions, including Candy Cane Lane, Donuts with Grownups, Kick It with EES, Art Night, Bake Off, and Spring Fling. Best For: Parents who enjoy planning memorable experiences and bringing people together. What They Do: Assist event committees and learn how Edmondson's largest events are planned and executed before stepping into the VP role. Best For: Parents interested in event planning, leadership, and community-building. What They Do: Learn alongside the Treasurer by assisting with budgets, financial reports, tax filings, and financial oversight of PTO programs and events. Best For: Parents who enjoy organization, attention to detail, and supporting the PTO behind the scenes. What They Do: Keep families informed through the Compass Newsletter, PTO website, social media channels, and school-wide communications. Best For: Parents who enjoy writing, design, technology, social media, photography, or storytelling. What They Do: Assist with newsletters, website updates, social media, and family communications while learning the role. Best For: Parents interested in communications, marketing, or digital content creation. What They Do: Help coordinate staff hospitality events and teacher appreciation activities throughout the year. Best For: Parents who enjoy serving others, planning celebrations, and making people feel valued. What They Do: Help organize school supply ordering and distribution so students and teachers are ready for a successful first day of school. Best For: Parents who enjoy organization, logistics, and helping families. What They Do: Connect with local businesses and community partners to help fund PTO programs and initiatives. Best For: Parents who enjoy networking, relationship-building, and flexible volunteer work that can largely be done from home. What They Do: Capture and share the amazing things happening at Edmondson through social media, photography, marketing, and storytelling. Best For: Parents who enjoy content creation, photography, graphic design, marketing, or social media. What They Do: Help keep our campus beautiful by supporting landscaping, outdoor improvements, and beautification projects. Best For: Parents who enjoy gardening, outdoor projects, or creating welcoming spaces. What They Do: Work with staff to select rewards, manage inventory, and help operate the student E-Buck Exchange store. Best For: Parents who enjoy organization, shopping, inventory management, and working behind the scenes. What They Do: Coordinate restaurant nights and community events that bring Edmondson families together while supporting the PTO. Best For: Parents who enjoy planning, community partnerships, and flexible volunteer opportunities. What They Do: Plan and coordinate our annual Back-to-School Fair, helping welcome families back to campus and kick off a new school year. What They Do: Help create excitement around Edmondson's annual giving campaign through student incentives, experiences, marketing, prizes, sponsorships, and community engagement. What They Do: Plan and host a family-friendly event filled with food, fun, and community-building as families reconnect at the start of the school year. What They Do: Welcome Kindergarten families on the first day of school with a breakfast and introductions from school leadership. What They Do: Coordinate and support the PTO's online auction, including collecting donations, organizing items, and promoting participation.
